LMD Launches Innovative Website for Universities at Shady Grove

LAUREL, MD – July 15, 2010 – LMD recently launched a website for the Universities at Shady Grove (USG). USG is an innovative partnership of nine University System of Maryland universities offering quality higher education at one campus in Montgomery County. USG provides access to more than 60 high-demand baccalaureate and graduate degrees that are specifically selected to respond to the workforce needs of the county and region.

"LMD created a website that allows us to best serve the needs of current and prospective students by putting the information they seek at their fingertips," said Joe Bucci, Director of Marketing and Communications at USG. "The content management system also allows us to edit information immediately, enabling us to maintain the site easily and keep it up to date."

The redesigned site includes a modern look and architecture featuring the nine partner universities while retaining the USG brand focus. The unique display of partner logos with enhanced drop-down menus allows current and prospective students to immediately navigate to their program of interest. Developed in Drupal 6, the site includes dynamic content managed by each University partner; custom multi-level user permissions to create, modify, review, and approve content; and a complex, full-featured calendar, news and events input and display.
