The Chesapeake Bay Program came to LMD with the mission to build awareness, understanding, and support for their work to restore the Bay under the Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement. Fueled by passion to help make a difference, LMD provided support with research and web design to help create ChesapeakeProgress, the first web product in a suite of sites, which allows stakeholders to learn more about each restoration milestone and those who make it all possible.
Challenge
Design a collaborative, engaging website to provide partners and stakeholders with information for measuring Bay restoration progress and developing strategies to meet restoration goals.
Solution
Conduct comprehensive discovery activities (target audience and user research, including focus groups, individual interviews, and usability testing sessions) to create a successful content strategy and website design addressing diverse audience needs through a variety of components.
Results
A beautiful, inspiring website that far exceeded client expectations, providing an online tool to help federal, public, and internal oversight groups track progress toward the commitments contained in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement and understand what impacts the Program’s work.
