His background includes software development leadership, venture capital startups, property management, authoring novels, and music composition. His goal is to craft accessible and effective communication for CISA's public and private sector pursuits in education, collaboration, and resource development.

He graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with an M.S. in chemistry and M.B.A. focused on marketing and product development, as well as from St. Olaf College with a B.A. in chemistry.
