Experience Prince George’s
Prince George’s County needed to grow awareness and refresh its brand image to begin changing misperceptions, increase pride among its diverse residents, and position itself as a desirable place to live, work, visit, and operate a business.
Shining a Spotlight on a Vibrant Community
LMD developed a new brand identity for the County to motivate current and potential residents, tourists, and businesses to “Experience, Expand, Explore—Prince George’s County.”
The County sought to bring in new residents and businesses, so LMD helped promote the County’s many economic achievements and success stories in leading regional publications like the Washington Business Journal. And since Prince George’s County hosts hundreds of thousands of commuters and tourists every day, LMD placed high-impact advertising throughout the County to engage these audiences across multiple touch points while in the traveling mindset.
The result? More awareness, more visitors, and more businesses and families considering Prince George’s County.
Vaccination Campaign
Prince George’s County needed to raise awareness about the safety and effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines among residents, communicate a timeline for vaccine rollout by demographic segment, promote the criticality of receiving both doses, and let residents know how to protect themselves before and after receiving the vaccine.
Improving Health and Awareness in the Fight Against COVID-19
LMD worked with the Prince George’s County Office of the County Executive Office and the Prince George’s County Health Department to create and implement a four-phase awareness campaign targeting English- and Spanish-speaking audiences. LMD designed culturally relevant creative assets and implemented high-impact, high-visibility media placements to engage the County’s nearly one million residents and encourage them to get vaccinated.
PGC Composts
Prince George’s County wanted to raise awareness and adoption of its new innovative no-cost curbside composting program and educate residents on the how, what, and why of composting.
Launching an Innovative Green Program
LMD developed a research-backed brand and messaging strategy to inform and motivate residents to participate in the curbside composting program. Messaging focused on the environmental, social, and economic benefits of composting and simplifying the composting process. The campaign used engaging videos, infographics, refrigerator magnets, social media, and eye-catching illustrations to appeal to residents of all ages and backgrounds. And since the County’s composting facility is the largest and most cutting edge on the East Coast, the “Prince George’s Proud” messaging promoted citizen pride in the new program.
