Rising Through the Cycles of Change
If there’s one adage that stands the test of time, it would have to be, “Change is the only constant.” While we think of this as it relates to changes in our personal lives, it’s equally true for organizations and businesses. These changes usually go through cycles, which can be gradual and over an extended period of time, or swift and all-encompassing.
Right now, the federal government is going through the latter cycle. It reminds me of the concept of tapas, a word I studied while training to become a yoga teacher. Tapas is a Sanskrit word associated with heat, burning, or purification. A farmer must sometimes burn land to better prepare for a new crop, and from those ashes comes fresh new growth. The fire is planned and contained to achieve the goal.
This cycle of change has massively impacted people across the U.S. and globally, and organizations must be ready with fresh new ways to manage this change. The challenge is how to handle massive, fast-paced change without getting burned.
The answer is through change management. LMD has deep experience with several leading change management frameworks, and we craft tailored plans to help every client easily manage whatever change they’re experiencing. We specifically focus on the “people side” of change, prioritizing simplicity, streamlining complex processes, and bringing people together to create something great.
