Laurel, MD — LMD, a full-service communications firm, won a Task Order for up to five years and $21 million to provide strategic communications services to the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE). The contract supports EERE’s communications efforts to promote and encourage adoption of new energy technologies.
EERE’s mission is to accelerate the research, development, demonstration, and deployment of technologies and solutions to equitably transition America to net-zero greenhouse gas emissions economy-wide by no later than 2050. EERE also ensures that the clean energy economy benefits all Americans through job creation—especially among workers and communities impacted by the energy transition and those historically underserved by the energy system and overburdened by pollution.
“We’re thrilled to work with EERE to build awareness and support of clean, sustainable alternative energy solutions,” said LMD President Karen Killian. “Transitioning to clean energy is absolutely critical to meet growing energy demands, expand our economy, and protect our planet for future generations.”
