LAUREL, Md. – LMD, an award-winning, full-service branding and strategic communications firm based in Laurel, Md., has appointed Holly Huntley, a recognized expert in branding, consulting, client services, innovation, technology transformation, market research and talent development as its new president.
Huntley succeeds long-time president Karen Killian, who led the agency through decades of growth, successfully positioning and promoting education, government, non-profit and private sector clients. Killian will continue serving LMD in her new role as Senior Strategist for the agency.
“Over the past 10 years, Holly’s skills and talents have brought so much tangible and intangible value to LMD, our clients, and each of us personally. Her experience, expertise and leadership qualities are well aligned to what LMD needs to continue our evolution and growth,” said Killian.
Huntley’s background includes decades of leadership in federal, global, and corporate environments within the information technology industry, as well as Fortune 150 experience serving in various senior positions.
Prior to assuming her new role as President, Huntley served as LMD’s Vice President of Client and Consulting Services. She joined the agency in 2013, leaving a global company to pursue her interests in small business and launching LMD’s consulting practice. In her 10 years with LMD, Huntley has served in several federal program manager roles leading national branding, outreach campaigns and change management projects.
Huntley takes the helm at a pivotal time in the company’s growth. She will be focused on the company’s evolution and service delivery, ensuring exceptional customer experience. She is especially known for her work coaching C-suite executives and helping leaders improve organizational effectiveness.
As president, Huntley plans to continue to expand LMD’s track record as a successful woman-owned small business with both federal and commercial clients.
“We will continue to deepen our relationships with partners to prioritize work that is true to our core mission of creating positive change for our clients so they can successfully ‘Lead, Market and Deliver.’ And by strategically staying a small business, we will maintain our collaborative, people-focused culture that has served us well for decades,” she said.
LMD is also known for its support of charitable causes and community involvement, and that will continue under Huntley’s leadership. She is proud of her work as a mentor and coach for First Robotics and American Corporate Partners, Board Member for Maryland Leadership Workshops, and founding member of the UMBC President’s Advisory Council.
